A highly accomplished professional, DIG Abdul holds a PhD and is a Chartered Accountant, with professional credentials including FCNA and ACTI. He is also a distinguished member of the National Institute (mni).
His career in the Nigeria Police Force spans several important assignments. Among his notable responsibilities, he has served as the Force Insurance Officer, headed the Counter Terrorism and General Investigation/Pension Section at the EFCC, and served as Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration in the Department of Finance and Administration.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, DIG Abdul has described policing as more than a career — it is an identity and a calling. His decision to join the police force was rooted in an early-life aspiration to serve and protect society.
In his capacity as supervising DIG for the North-West, DIG Abdul has undertaken operational and security assessment tours across the region, including visits to states such as Kano, Sokoto, Katsina, and Kaduna.
These engagements reflect his emphasis on assessing security operations firsthand, strengthening coordination, and supporting effective policing across the region.
