Techlife Media & Communications Ltd has announced plans for the sixth edition of the Women Entrepreneurs & Executives in Tech Summit & Awards (WEETS) 2026, with a renewed focus on equipping women with the skills and leadership capacity needed to thrive in the rapidly expanding Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem.
The summit, themed “From Innovation to Impact: Women Leading the AI-Driven Future,” is expected to convene policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, executives, development partners and aspiring professionals to examine how women can leverage AI to drive sustainable development, accelerate business growth and shape Africa’s digital economy.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Convener of WEETS and Founder of Techlife Media & Communications Ltd, Ugochi Emmanuel, said the 2026 edition is designed to position women at the forefront of technological transformation rather than on its margins.
She noted that Artificial Intelligence is reshaping industries, redefining business operations and influencing economic growth, stressing that WEETS 2026 aims to ensure women emerge as leaders, innovators and decision-makers driving the AI-powered future.
As part of activities preceding the summit, organisers will hold a two-day Advanced Digital Skills Bootcamp on 11 and 12 September 2026, where participants will receive practical training in Artificial Intelligence, digital innovation, entrepreneurship and other emerging technologies considered critical for success in today’s digital economy.
The main summit and awards ceremony will feature keynote presentations, executive panel discussions, fireside conversations, exhibitions, mentorship sessions, business networking opportunities and the presentation of the WEETS Awards, which recognise outstanding women and organisations promoting innovation, leadership, inclusion and digital transformation.
According to the organisers, the Women Entrepreneurs & Executives in Tech Summit & Awards is the flagship initiative of Techlife Media & Communications Ltd, established to empower, inspire and celebrate women making significant contributions across technology, business and entrepreneurship.
Since its inception, the platform has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading forums for advancing women’s participation in the digital economy through capacity-building programmes, strategic networking, mentorship and the recognition of exceptional achievements.
The organisers also called on corporate organisations, government agencies, development partners, academic institutions, technology companies, entrepreneurs, professionals, women-led businesses and members of the public to participate in the event.
Registration for both the WEETS Summit & Awards and the Advanced Digital Skills Bootcamp is currently open. Organisers said interested participants can obtain information on registration, sponsorship, exhibition and partnership opportunities through the official WEETS platforms.
