Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have uncovered and sealed a suspected illegal factory allegedly used to produce and package adulterated alcoholic drinks in Badagry, arresting a 48-year-old man in connection with the operation.
The suspect, Anaebo Emeka Hilary, ‘m’, was arrested at Yafin, Badagry, Lagos State, where the suspected factory was located. Police said the operation followed credible intelligence received from members of the public.
The statement was signed by SP Abimbola Adebesi, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ikeja, on 24th September, 2026.
According to the Command, operatives recovered adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, different wine labels and various production utensils suspected to have been used to produce and package the drinks.
The suspected factory was subsequently sealed, while Anaebo was taken into police custody. The recovered items were also taken to the station as investigations continue.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to the information.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining intelligence-led operations against criminal activities across the state and urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to the Police.
