Gagdi Hosts Ramadan Iftar, Plans Outreach For 400 Women And Children
In the spirit of unity, compassion and community service during the holy month of Ramadan, a member of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, has invited political leaders, stakeholders and residents to special Ramadan Iftar gatherings in Plateau State.
Gagdi, who represents the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, said the gatherings are aimed at fostering fellowship, strengthening community bonds and encouraging prayers for peace and progress in the country.
According to him, the first Iftar will hold on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his residence in Dengi, Kanam Local Government Area, while a second gathering is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his residence in Jos. Both events are expected to begin at 6:00 p.m.
The lawmaker explained that the Iftar sessions will be open to Muslim faithful observing Ramadan, as well as Christian leaders, political associates, community stakeholders and friends who wish to join in the spirit of unity and goodwill.
As part of activities marking the holy month, Gagdi disclosed that his wife, Lahlah Yusuf Gagdi, will lead a humanitarian outreach on Sunday morning in Dengi where gifts will be distributed to about 400 women and children in the community.
He described the initiative as a modest effort to support vulnerable members of the community and spread hope during the sacred period.
The lawmaker also noted that the gatherings are intended to promote peaceful coexistence among residents across the Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam axis, while encouraging collective prayers for the nation’s stability and development.
Gagdi urged friends and stakeholders within the constituency and across Plateau State to take part in the events, emphasizing that Ramadan offers an opportunity for reflection, generosity and renewed commitment to unity and progress.
