Every Mission Must Count, CAS Charges Commanders On Operational Effectiveness

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has charged commanders of the Nigerian Air Force to intensify operational pressure on insurgents and other criminal elements across the country, declaring that every military mission must produce decisive results.
Speaking during an operational briefing held on 18 May 2026 with Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding, Directors and Air Component Commanders from various theatres of operation nationwide, the CAS stressed the importance of operational effectiveness, precision and professionalism in ongoing military engagements.

Air Marshal Aneke emphasized the need for continuous evaluation and reassessment of operational strategies and procedures to ensure improved combat efficiency against hostile elements.

He further urged commanders to ensure that all operations deliver maximum impact while safeguarding civilian lives through carefully coordinated and precise engagements.
The operational briefing formed part of ongoing efforts by the Nigerian Air Force leadership to strengthen coordination and enhance operational outcomes in the fight against insecurity across the country.
