The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has debunked a viral social media message claiming that its ongoing recruitment exercise has been cancelled, describing the information as false, misleading, and unauthorised.

In a swift reaction to the circulating report, the Service said no official announcement had been made regarding the cancellation of any recruitment process, warning the public against falling for misinformation.

According to the NCS, the fake notice did not emanate from the Service and should be completely disregarded.

The agency urged members of the public to avoid sharing unverified messages capable of causing confusion among applicants and other stakeholders.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and credible public communication, the Customs Service advised Nigerians to rely only on updates released through its verified official platforms.

For authentic and current information, the Service directed the public to its official communication channels on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X, and its website, www.customs.gov.ng
