The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD, has lauded police operatives and other security agencies for their dedication, courage and professionalism during the Yuletide security operations across the state.
CP Orutugu said the effective collaboration between the Police Command, sister security agencies and other security stakeholders was largely responsible for the peaceful atmosphere recorded during the festive period.
He noted that the synergy ensured the protection of lives and property, as well as the smooth conduct of celebrations across Anambra.
The police boss also commended Ndi Anambra for their cooperation, vigilance and support to security agencies, stressing that strong community partnership remains a critical pillar of effective and sustainable policing.
As the state enters the year 2026, CP Orutugu urged residents to further strengthen their cooperation with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that can help prevent crime. He reassured the public of the Command’s continued commitment to proactive policing and improved security operations.
He added that the Anambra State Police Command remains resolute in sustaining and enhancing security strategies aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining peace across the state.
