The Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) has strengthened its collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force as part of efforts to enhance security and institutional synergy.
This followed a courtesy visit by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Wuye Division, CSP Mary Usman, to the Executive Secretary of the council, Dr. Abubakar Adamu Dabban, at the ARCN headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking during the meeting, Dabban commended the Nigerian Police Force for its role in mitigating internal crises and fostering peace across the country.
According to him, sustained professionalism and ethical conduct among officers remain critical to public trust and effective policing.
“The need for professionalism and ethical conduct cannot be overemphasised, especially as security agencies work together to confront insecurity,” Dabban said.
He further stressed the importance of collaboration among government agencies, noting that inter-agency cooperation was vital to addressing Nigeria’s complex security challenges.
On her part, CSP Mary Usman reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Police Force to the protection of lives and property.
She disclosed that regular patrols and other security measures were already in place to guarantee the safety of residents of the Federal Capital Territory and the country at large.
“The Nigerian Police Force remains committed to safeguarding lives and property, and we have intensified patrols and other measures to ensure public safety,” she said.
The meeting underscored the growing emphasis on cooperation between security agencies and public institutions in promoting national stability.
