The Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 2, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, received the Zonal Commander of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Zone A, Assistant Comptroller General Adamu Mohammed, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos.
The meeting aimed to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the NIS. Discussions focused on enhancing intelligence sharing and operational synergy to better address national security concerns.
During the visit, ACG Adamu Mohammed explained that the engagement served as a formal familiarization with the Zone 2 Command. He emphasized the importance of deepening inter-agency cooperation to safeguard communities, noting that the Immigration Service has historically benefited from its close partnership with the Police.
In his response, AIG Fayoade welcomed the NIS delegation and reaffirmed the Police Force’s commitment to continuous collaboration. He stressed that joint operations and the seamless exchange of intelligence are vital tools for tackling modern security challenges.
