Akintola is a seasoned revenue administration and finance expert with over three decades of experience and deep institutional knowledge of Nigeria’s tax system. Over the course of her distinguished career, she has served in several senior leadership positions within the Federal Inland Revenue Service, including as Coordinating Director, Corporate Services.
Before joining the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Akintola served as Director of Audit at the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, where she played a significant role in strengthening audit, compliance and revenue administration frameworks.
In her current capacity as Executive Director, Medium and Emerging Taxpayers, Akintola brings her wealth of experience and institutional knowledge to the administration of Nigeria’s tax system, particularly in the area of supporting effective engagement with medium and emerging taxpayers.
An accomplished professional, Akintola holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Lagos. She is an Associate Member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, as well as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
Her career reflects a blend of technical expertise, leadership and commitment to public-sector development, making her a worthy choice for the RazorNews Public Servant of the Day recognition.
