2027: APC Leaders in Aniocha/Oshimili Urged to Back Ndudi Elumelu for Reps
Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State have been urged to rally support for Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu ahead of the 2026 party primaries and the 2027 general elections.
The call comes amid growing consultations within the constituency on the need to present a credible and experienced candidate capable of securing victory for the party and delivering effective representation in the House of Representatives.
Rt. Hon. Elumelu, a former Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, is being projected as a strong contender with the requisite legislative experience and national exposure.
Supporters argue that his tenure in the National Assembly has equipped him with deep institutional knowledge, negotiation skills, and the capacity to influence policy and attract development to the constituency.
They noted that beyond party considerations, the APC requires a candidate with broad appeal and the ability to unite diverse interests across Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, and Oshimili South local government areas.
“Elumelu represents competence, experience, and readiness to deliver from day one,” a party stakeholder said, adding that his political profile positions him as a formidable candidate in both the primaries and the general election.
The former lawmaker, who holds the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), is also said to enjoy grassroots support and cross-party acceptance, factors considered critical for electoral success.
Stakeholders maintained that backing Elumelu would not only strengthen the APC’s chances in 2027 but also ensure quality representation for the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
