Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test in Lagos will face a heavily secured environment as the Lagos State Police Command has ordered massive deployment of personnel and intelligence assets to examination centres across the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, directed strategic placement of officers at all approved CBT centres to guarantee safety, orderliness and smooth conduct of the nationwide examination.

The move, according to the command, is in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to ensure candidates, invigilators and other stakeholders operate in a secure and conducive atmosphere throughout the examination period.

Police authorities said officers assigned to the operation had been instructed to maintain professionalism, civility and vigilance while dealing decisively with any form of examination malpractice, disorderly conduct or security threats.

The command added that security operatives would collaborate with other agencies and relevant stakeholders to safeguard examination venues, surrounding areas and access routes.
