The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its offensive against terrorists in Borno State, carrying out fresh air strikes on their hideouts in the Jilli axis.

‎The operation, conducted on April 11 under Operation HADIN KAI, focused on mopping up fleeing insurgents and disrupting attempts by remnants to regroup after earlier bombardments.

‎In a statement on Sunday, NAF spokesman, Ehimen Ejodame, said the strikes were executed based on credible intelligence and in close coordination with ground troops of the Nigerian Army.

‎He noted that the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to neutralise terrorists responsible for recent attacks on security formations in the North-East.

‎According to him, the sustained air offensives have significantly degraded terrorist capabilities while restricting their movement across the theatre.

‎Ejodame stressed that the Air Force would continue to deploy precision strikes and surveillance operations to protect civilian populations and support ground forces.
