Why Ndudi Elumelu should return to the House of Representatives
By Mishael Chukwuebuka Nwadiokwuashi
Leadership is often judged not only by the length of time spent in office but by the tangible impact made on the lives of the people. Over the past twelve years, Ndudi Elumelu has demonstrated what many describe as strong commitment and dedication in representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
During his time in the National Assembly, Elumelu has served as a voice for his constituents while also acting as a link between the people and the federal government. Supporters say his tenure has attracted developmental projects, empowerment initiatives and policy attention to the constituency.
As a former Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Elumelu built considerable experience and relationships within the legislature. These connections, according to political observers, have enabled him to facilitate federal interventions and development programmes in his constituency.
Beyond legislative work, Elumelu has also been associated with initiatives aimed at human capital development, including youth empowerment and support for women and small businesses across communities within the constituency.
At a time when experience and institutional knowledge are often considered important in governance, some stakeholders believe returning Elumelu to the House of Representatives could ensure continuity in representation and development efforts in the constituency.
Supporters argue that continuity in leadership can help sustain ongoing programmes and provide stability in representation at the national level.
With his years of legislative experience and established political network, Elumelu remains a prominent political figure in Delta State politics and continues to attract support from those who believe his return would benefit the constituency.
