The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha/Oshimili has reaffirmed its commitment to unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections following a stakeholders’ meeting hosted by former House of Representatives member, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, in Asaba, Delta State.
The meeting, held at Elumelu’s campaign office, brought together party leaders and grassroots mobilisers from the four local government areas that make up the Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency.
Those in attendance included party chieftains, local government executives, chairmen of the four local governments, ward leaders and chairmen, councillors, youth and women leaders, pressure groups and other grassroots mobilisers.
Speaking at the meeting, Delta State APC Chairman, Hon. Solomon Arenyeka, commended Elumelu for what he described as his proactive support for the party and the people of Aniocha/Oshimili.
Arenyeka also commended the four APC local government chairmen in the area for their commitment to the party and efforts to sustain unity within their respective local government areas.
He urged stakeholders to maintain the spirit of cooperation and remain focused on strengthening the APC structure across Delta State.
Also speaking, the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope for More Agenda, Rt. Hon. Funke Keme, urged APC members and stakeholders to remain united and committed to the collective interest of the party.
Keme conveyed what she described as the goodwill message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the people of Aniocha/Oshimili and urged party members to support the Renewed Hope agenda of the Federal Government.
A major highlight of the meeting was a vote of confidence in the APC leadership and its political candidates.
The motion was moved by Hon. Esenwa, member representing Oshimili North Constituency, who called for confidence in the party leadership from the top to the grassroots and expressed the readiness of APC members to work towards strong representation in the 2027 elections.
The motion was seconded by Mrs Daniels and subsequently supported by stakeholders at the meeting.
The development, according to participants, reflected the determination of party members across Aniocha/Oshimili to close ranks, strengthen their grassroots structures and coordinate their activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
In her closing remarks, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu thanked the party leadership, stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers for attending the meeting and contributing to its success.
The meeting ended with calls for greater unity, loyalty, grassroots mobilisation and strategic coordination among APC members across Aniocha/Oshimili as the party prepares for the 2027 political contest.
